Beaver Lake Centennial Celebration

We are disappointed to announce that the Beaver Lake Centennial Celebration will be postponed to a later date.  Buncombe County is under a state of emergency which requires safety personnel to be on stand by for emergency situations.  Our event relied on police officers to ensure safe street crossing and they are now unavailable.  Additionally, we have concern about the event field suffering considerable damage from heavy foot traffic and vehicles on a saturated soil surface.  Our other consideration is that the Asheville area is experiencing a lot of flooding and chaos. As responsible and caring community members, having sensitivity to our neighbors’ losses is important and festivities at this time seem inappropriate.

Please check the Lake View Park website and your email for updates on the rescheduled event.

Thank you for your understanding,

The Beaver Lake Centennial Planning Committee
